How to arrive to Cordoba (Spain)

Due to its exceptional geographical position Cordoba is extremely well connected not just with the north of Spain, but also with the rest of Andalusia, by the A-4 Autovía (dual carriageway with motorway characteristics). 

  • From Madrid: Take the A-4 Autovía del Sur. Approx. length of journey: 3 hours 30 minutes
  • From Seville: You should also take the A-4 Autovía del Sur. Approx. length of journey: 1 hour
  • From Malaga: A-45 Autovía Cordoba-Malaga. Approx. length of journey: 1 hour 30 minutes
  • From Valencia: A-3 Autovía A-3 and A-43 trough A-4 Autovía. Approx. length of journey: 5 hours
  • From Murcia and Levante: A-7 Autovía and A-45 trough A-92N and A-92 
  • From Portugal and Extremadura: Get to the north of the province by the N-432 road
  • From the Algarve (Portugal) and Huelva: Take the Autopista del V Centenario dual carriageway to Seville and join the A-4 Autovía del Sur
  • From Gibraltar and Cadiz: Take the A-4 Autovía del Sur towards Madrid.

Cordoba is just as well connected by train as it is by road, since the main line connecting Madrid with Malaga, Seville, Cadiz and Huelva stops at Cordoba.

What is more, the connections between Cordoba and Seville, Madrid, Malaga, Valencia, Alicante and Barcelona are all the easier thanks to the High Speed Train (AVE):
-Sevilla-Cordoba: 40 minutes
-Malaga-Cordoba: 50 minutes
Madrid-Cordoba: 1 hour and 40 minutes
-Valencia-Cordoba: 3 hours

-Alicante-Cordoba: 4 hours
-Barcelona-Cordoba: 4 hours and 35 minutes

Cordoba has a working airport which allows the passage of up to 80-seat passenger aircraft. However, at present there are no regular passenger flights to Cordoba, although there are plans to start them in the future.
The nearest airports are in Seville, Malaga and Madrid.
